Delivery Area (poly tanks) (click here for a larger map)

The standard poly water tank delivery area currently serviced by The Tank Factory stretches north to just past Hervey Bay in QLD, south to Wollongong in NSW and west to Gunnedah in NSW.
We can also service many other areas by request. However, additional freight may apply depending on the delivery location, product size and transport requirements. Please contact our friendly staff for further information about delivery of your Duraplas product.
Tank deliveries are available to many areas. To help keep freight affordable, we allow approximately 30 minutes on site for standard tank deliveries. Therefore, customers need to arrange the required number of adult, able-bodied assistants before the delivery truck arrives.
Introduction
The Tank Factory believes clear, honest and precise communication helps create a better rainwater tank delivery experience for every customer.
Over many years, we have developed and refined our delivery procedures so customers receive reliable service from order through to delivery. In addition, our systems help us provide a committed delivery date once your order has been scheduled.
Our trained delivery personnel complete deliveries using our own purpose-built vehicles. Also, the last 43+ years of trading and thousands of satisfied customers have helped The Tank Factory improve the way we organise and complete poly tank delivery.
Please contact our friendly sales personnel at The Tank Factory if you need help choosing the right tank, understanding delivery requirements or checking any other details before ordering.
How Poly Water Tank Delivery Works
We deliver Duraplas poly tanks across our standard delivery area shown above.
Once production and freight planning have been confirmed, we schedule your order for delivery. Before delivery, our team may contact you to confirm order details, access information and any relevant site considerations.
On the scheduled delivery day, our driver will usually call ahead before arrival. However, delivery times can vary due to traffic, weather, loading requirements and other delivery conditions.
Please do not order a water delivery for the same day as your scheduled tank delivery. This helps avoid timing issues if the delivery schedule changes on the day.
Access and Safety

Your assistance may be needed on the day of delivery to help manoeuvre the tank from the unloading point to its final position, such as a prepared tank pad.
Access beyond the kerb or front boundary remains at the property owner’s discretion. In addition, access must be safe and practical for our driver, vehicle and delivery equipment.
When our driver arrives, they will assess the site and decide what can be done safely. If access is restricted, unsafe or impractical, our driver will unload the product at the nearest safe point.
Please contact us before delivery if your site has steep driveways, soft ground, tight access, low branches, power lines or other access concerns.
Delivery Assistants Required
The customer must arrange the required number of adult, able-bodied assistants to be available at the time of delivery.
This assistance helps our driver manoeuvre the tank safely while keeping the delivery within workplace health and safety requirements.
Rainwater Tank Deliveries
The following guide shows the usual number of assistants needed for standard rainwater tank deliveries.
Slimline and Urban Tower tanks
450–1,650 litre – 1 person + driver
2,000–4,000 litre – 2 people + driver
5,000 litre – 3 people + driver
Round/cylindrical water tanks
360–10,000 litre – 1 person + driver
13,500 litre – 2 people + driver
18,200–22,700 litre upright – 3 people + driver
22,700 litre squat to 34,000 litre – 4 people + driver
Please note: The R22,700SQ and R34,000 require both the truck and a low trailer for transport.
Underground and Underdeck Tank Deliveries
1,000–2,000 litre underground and underdeck tanks require 2 people + driver.
3,000–5,000 litre underground tanks require lifting equipment.
For 3,000–5,000 litre underground tanks, customers must arrange suitable lifting equipment and personnel. Our driver will deliver these tanks to a location they consider safe and practical, subject to suitable truck access.
Truck-mounted Hiabs are not adequate for this task.
Other Poly Product Deliveries
Aquaculture tanks, cattle troughs, garden beds and Planta Pods usually require 1 person + driver.
AP 5,000 litre aquaculture tanks require lifting equipment on site.
AP 10,000 litre aquaculture tanks require lifting equipment on site.
SmartBund tanks, Truck Tanks water cartage tanks and septic tanks also require lifting equipment for unloading. Customers must arrange this equipment separately and at their own cost.
Truck-mounted Hiabs are not always suitable for these products.
Plunge Pool Deliveries
We deliver Aussie Plunge Pools kerbside, meaning the front boundary or nearest safe roadside point.
Customers must arrange suitable equipment and personnel to move the pool into its final position on site.
Poly Tank Freight Fees
The freight fees below apply to our standard delivery area shown above.

Additional freight fees may apply for other areas or zones. Please contact us for a freight quote if your delivery location sits outside the standard area or if your order requires special transport planning.
Our tank freight fees are heavily subsidised. Therefore, the required onsite assistance is important because it helps us keep delivery practical, safe and affordable.
Freight Conditions
Every site is different. Therefore, we try to identify any obvious delivery concerns when we organise your delivery.
The Tank Factory’s obligation is to deliver the poly tank to your nominated delivery address. However, we cannot guarantee that the tank can be placed directly onto the tank pad or into the exact final position.
Difficult access, steep terrain, soft ground, power lines, low branches and other site conditions can affect what is safe on the day.
When our driver arrives, they will assess the site and decide what is practical and safe for everyone involved. If the required assistance is not available, or if the driver decides that further movement is unsafe, the customer will need to arrange any additional labour or equipment at their own cost.
Whether our driver pulls up outside your nominated delivery address or drives onto the property, our delivery vehicles require a minimum width clearance of 3 metres and a minimum height clearance of 5 metres.
Where the delivery requires a truck and trailer combination, the vehicle may measure approximately 19 metres in overall length.
Drier, harder ground generally makes delivery easier. However, our driver will still assess the site on arrival and will only proceed where access is safe and practical.
We schedule water tank deliveries Monday to Friday only. We do not deliver on weekends.
Please contact our friendly sales personnel at The Tank Factory if you need help choosing the right tank, checking delivery requirements or answering any other related questions.
